“안녕~ Soojung-ssi, I saw this teddy bear and I thought of you. Please don’t ask me why I did but I just…did? Maybe because it’s really cute– but either way, you’re still a whole lot cuter than this stuffed doll! Whenever you’re having a bad day, I hope you look at this little teddy and smile, because look at how cute she(he?) is (*~▽~) Don’t forget to smile today! Have a good day, little red ~♡”
That Soojung is surprised when a bear is handed by her at her favorite restaurant, it’s the least to say.
The man that hands her the stuffed boy to her is her usual waiter - tall and always busy - and she blinks at him in surprise, arms stretched to the animal but hopefully, he notices what she is thinking of and quickly shakes his head, before throwing the toy at her arms and giving her a note as well.
A relieved sigh is what escapes the red-haired lips, before they form a gracious smile and she orders her food, mostly because she’s curious and reading the paper in front of the male might have been embarrassing (Who knows who could have written that! )
But when her eyes scan down the pink paper, rushed but cute calligraphy, the mermaid can’t hold back her giggle. Lifting a pale hand to cover her lips at the sudden burst of the sound, she shakes her head and pulls the stuffed once again.
It was, indeed, cute - teddy bear as Aster had called it - but the tall girl’s intention and words were cuter and Soojung had to retribute them somehow; the best choice she had was to write back a note, and hope the waiter wouldn’t mind much her doing so. She reaches down to her bag, taking a notebook and ripping a page of it, writing down carefully, hoping her letter would be neat and pretty.
“Is this Aster? Little star, I’m glad you found your way back here! Does that means you liked it and we shall meet again sometime? So I hope. And the stuffed toy it’s just adorable, if it wasn’t so tiny and if I wasn’t copying your words, maybe it would remind me of you! ㅋㅋㅋ.
Also, I looked down and I’m almost sure it is a boy, how should we name him? Is Rødalger a good name? Because of its lace….And Rhodoph for short! …If it’s not normal to name bears, though, we can call him just ‘it’ too. But I feel like I'm babbling too much, and you might get tired of the reading but have I said thank you already? I loved it! And your action was the cutest. I hope you get this note, and when you do, have a nice day.
P.S: You already brought me a lot of smiles just by this, by the way.”
When the waiter returns to the table, placing down her mug of coffee, the smile that takes place on her lips its just the best she could produce; and her charm is enough for him to nod, take the note with a promise of returning to the other lady and it’s enough to let another smile, a more simple and natural one cover her features and bright against the warm air against her face.
