It wasn’t very often the girl finishes a doll more longer than an hour. She would usually finish the doll in 30 minutes or an hour, but never an hour and forty minutes. Maybe she had improved in her doll making abilities that it takes longer than it should. The doll looked more nicer though, that was the good thing. As she finished the doll and put her on her shelf, she heard a knock on the door. She was surprised to see that people would come here later than usual….but she didn’t mind that. Not at all did she mind that. Not at all.
She dusted off her apron and washed her hands before making it to the door. As she opened it, she smiled brightly, “Ah, welcome. You must be a patient.” she greeted warmly to the guest who had knocked on the door, “What seems to be the problem?”
If there’s one thing school does is dry you out, that’s for sure. It was so close to the weekend, and she still had work to do, books to read, people’s work to do and etc etc etc. Soojung didn’t mind - much - having to do any of these things, but Jesus, when did the sun go down? Soon she wouldn’t have much time to do anything, so before she could be kicked out, the red-haired decided to pick up the pile of books and register it on her card.
Done that, the mermaid decided to skip away from the lady that was giving her a bad look and out of the library as quick as possible - and taking the bus was so not the right option if she wanted to fulfill her previous wishes. The best option - believe it or not - was go walking back home; it was true that it was tiring, especially with all this extra weight, but it was more pleasuring also. To stop to see the people and the new things out there….Ah, there couldn’t be better way to spend your evening.
And she was glad that she actually did it, just after some streets. The sign wasn’t glamorous, or anything that could call attention, but there was something inside that shop: a girl, curled dark hair and shiny eyes focused on an object between her palms. What was it? It looked like that toy kids liked…what was the name? Ah, doll?
Shifting all her weight to the right leg, Soojung kept staring. No more time notion existed, or tiredness; there was only the red-haired’s eyes that couldn’t leave the reflection of that girl and her doll. Her attention spam was such, that she only noticed something had happened when the doll was put down, and that was when it hit her and the action that followed next was taken by the panic and she somehow found herself knocking on the door, books pushed to be held by the free arm, while the other stood in the air.
When the door was open, she still couldn’t believe she actually did knock - but the girl was there, and asking her something. “A patient?” Her crimson eyebrows met at the center, and she had her eyes flickering up to the sign once again. So this was a Clinic? Was it normal for Mundanes to have clinics and doll makers on the same room? It sounded weir, but the mermaid was still learning how to deal with this and who knows what could be normal and not on this world? Better to keep the game going. “Are you the doctor? I’ve been feeling an extreme fatigue these days, and it keeps me away from doing important things that needs to be done…I can’t keep to stop from wondering if something is wrong.”
