[text] No rush, of course -- I wouldn't want my everything to fall and hurt herself. I care a lot for her, you see, and wouldn't want her to be harmed in any way. [text] Oh, do you? What is it that you miss about me?

And here it starts again.

The mermaid’s cheeks start to turn a shade darker, tinting the pale skin with a pink coloration that could easily be taken as reaction to the cold air of the night constantly hitting her face, even if covered by the thick scarf - but the actual reason of the blushing was how cheesy this guy managed to be, even if they didn’t know each other for long.

Holding back all the urge to snicker or snort at this - and especially to smile -, the red-haired walked a few more meters, holding the phone but not typing yet, no; she only re-started typing when she stopped on her tracks and was safe to not bump into someone or let her phone drop.

[ ✉ ] I’m not one for running, so I suppose “your everything” is safe at that; don’t worry, I’ll try to tell her some time.

[ ✉ ] ㅋㅋㅋ

[ ✉ ] That’s a hard question. I guess I could say I miss your adorableness, but since you’re texting me and showing this still exists, I shouldn’t worry much about this. But I miss your height, and how nice would it be if you hugged me really tight and really warm, and let’s see…your face is not really bad. So isn’t your sense of humor…I don’t know if I can say everything…

[ ✉ ] But if you want to know, I’m really close to that place.

{ ` ; there is no sign of surprise evident on her face as he holds up the sign, ever so himself - how long has it been? weeks? soojung is almost happy to have him there; she is almost sure she could have forgotten how good looking he was, and how different his eyes were and— she was getting lost again, right? the red-haired shakes her head, once, twice - before she’s able to have her crimson lips stretched in a decent smile, her hands - previously clasped together in front of her - raises and she curls and uncurls the palms, as if she was grabbing something in the air, directed towards him. } Come here, unfortunate soul. I need to wish you luck properly.

[text] I'll risk being ill just so I can kiss you. :) And fine, I agree to cutting the bill in half. But only if my half is bigger. I am, after all, a gentleman; society demands that I pay a hefty sum to be in the presence of a beautiful lady. [text] I have no favourite flower -- I think all of them are nice. Although, quite recently, I've started liking red lilies. They remind me of you.

[ ✉ ] I guess you’ve forgotten I have rights over you; and I think you know me enough to know I’d never let that happen, hm?

[ ✉ ] But for the bill, I suppose I’ll have to end up letting you do as you wish, since I don’t want to force much on you.

Divided in two, she sends the messages quicker than she had ever thought that she would be able to; it’s just two or three minutes and they are typed and sent to her dear addressee. But as quick as she sends, there’s another one - and the mermaid presses her reddish lips together, head almost hitting the wall she’s leaned against at the new reading.

This time she takes a few more minutes to let him have an answer, though. Not that she’s thinking about how charmer he is or is trying to be. It’s that her mind is busy trying to re-call the so said flowers; C’mon, Victoria has a flower shop, she will murder with her delicate hands if you forget about that, was her thought every time someone mentioned the lovely blossoms. And then it hits her and she’s honestly surprised that she reminds the information (though the grin that starts covering her lips at the discovery could try to convince people otherwise.)

[ ✉ ] Isn’t these the big ones? Long petals, and stamens? I apology if I’m wrong, I’m not very familiar with them. I haven’t even seen a red one of the ones I’m thinking of— Probably very shameful, isn’t that so?

jindemigod:

[/he grins at the sight of her reddened cheeks. if she went down that track her whole face might be the same shade as her hair, which he still wanted to run his fingers through out of pure curiosity.] I’ll call you my queen, because I will be your king. [/he reaches out for her hand and intertwines their fingers together before kissing her knuckles] Besides, I’m still your boyfriend. At least until tomorrow. I really don’t mind being owned by you.

{ ` ; at his pick for a new nickname, the mermaid blinks, a little confused and pretty sure she has heard that before - and to be honest, that wasn’t going to help the flush of red running up to cover her ears as well, and deepening the crimson that has already been coloring her cheeks. as her left hand reaches upwards to scratch a burning cheek, with the intension of hiding it or sending the embarrassment away, his hand catches her, and his simple action sends another rush of embarrassment and surprise over her; he is after all her boyfriend, and it’s more than common she feels this way…right? } Jin-ssi, I– Is it too bad I’m not too fond of this nickname? { ` ; she admits, a little rusty and awkward when she manages to let out some words, smile stretching to reassure him he is doing well and she’s fine with it - but not this nickname and he is so corny she might explode. and this comes from a girl that fell in love with a prince that spent his days making promises of marrying her. the thought makes her smile fail a little, but with a shake or two of her head, she smiles brighter and squeezes his hand a little. } Pfft. I should own you forever, if that’s so.

[text] D: But I do want to see it. I bet you look beautiful. It would certainly make me much happier than kissing you -- although it is a tough competition between the two. And no, I haven't eaten. Will you come over and pull me away from work with the promise of eating with me? Only beautiful people can do that, you see. It's like a curse, working with all these pretty flowers, and only something even prettier can tear me away from them. My treat -- I'll come pick you up, if you're available.

When she’s already inside, and her phone rings again, there is no longer surprise - or just a little bit, because she wasn’t expecting to be replied so soon.

As she pulls her phone out and her eyes wander through the new message though, there is some surprise, but not on her face; it is her manager that frowns when he looks at her, but gladly, and quickly, let her go.

Maybe it is because it’s Soojung, or because of her expression while excitedly typing back an answer - and the little mermaid isn’t really one to look excited while looking at a phone - but in less than five minutes, he’s pushing her outside and she’s shrugging it off, completely focused on something else at the moment.

[ ✉ ] I would rather not having to show you any, though. As I said, stay healthy so no kisses from this poor ill person - but you can’t catch a flu by hugging, right? ㅋㅋㅋ. I’d love to take you away from your work, if you’d like to, of course. But about you paying– let’s set that with half a half, uh? I just got off from work, I go there. Meanwhile, what is your favorite flower? I suppose you have one if you work at a floriculture…right?

[text] As your boyfriend for a week, I feel obligated to keep you smiling, even when I'm not there. Also -- and this is not because I am your temporary lover -- I like seeing you smile. So! Keep being happy, my everything, my Soojung, my lovely Soojung. And, as those lips form that beautiful grin and part to release melodious sounds, I do hope you reserve them for me still, and that they won't touch anyone else's lips but mine. At least until the week is done.

It’s more than a surprise for Soojung when she feels something buzzing. Immediately, she joints, leaning away from the wall and almost hitting her arm on a ready order; the cooker’s reaction is faster than hers, and in less than a second, the man is screaming and the mermaid is helplessly bowing her head non-stopping, before she walks as far as she can from the other.

At the moment she reaches outside, it’s cold and the noise has stopped - but she’s still curious as from where that thing came from. The answer is nothing less than in the pocket of her apron, where her phone rests, screen still lightening up as a big reminder, the sign of a new message shines.

Her eyebrows furrow as she slides her finger on the screen, and her eyes take a minute or so to get used to the light on the device before she can read the so said text, but when she does - oh when she does, there’s an insistent smile playing on the corner of her lips, fighting hard against the frown that wants to cover her features as she struggles with the technology; in the end, the smile still wins, and she presses the ‘sent’ button and her lips together to stop the grin from getting too wide.

[ ✉ ] I’m glad to say that your “obligation” was done right, mister, but more glad that you can’t see it or I’d probably never be able to face you again. You have a way with words, but about the last part, ah…you can be hundred percent- no, a thousand percent sure that your wish is almost bond to come true. Or so I hope, if that makes you happy. What reminds me, it’s getting late and I wonder if you have eaten yet? There’s only one right answer for this, by the way. Stay healthy, handsome.
